This is my art it is in progress i used colored pencils i am thinking about what to do next
My most successful project was my project for the Intercultural Festival. I submitted it into the art contest and won third place. I think it was successful because I like colored pencils plus I thought it was a good idea 2. A project I would do differently is the pastel drawing I did with this lady in that sunhat and I regret it because it was a pain in the butt and it all smudged so like I kinda gave up a little and finished it the best I could. I would change the fact that I used pastel to most likely color pencil or paint because it's easier and looks better but I wanted to try my new pastels. 3. These projects are similar because they are both people and both have dark tones in them but in one I used charcoal and in the other I used pastels. 4. I like independent projects that you think of yourself and execute how you want to without having to fit into a lesson you're not interested in.
This piece I am using for a teens inspired art work, I am going to do something with the background to make it more interesting. I sketched it out with a pencil then shaded it in with charcoal and added details to make it better. I was inspired by Nichole at 10 in the North Carolina art museums exhibit on their website. I like the black and white tones because I like to use charcoal and darker colors because it makes it look like an old photograph. I think I would leave the background either shaded and blended with the correct tool or leave it white. Shading the corners would make it look more like a crumpled aged photo with a vintage style feel like in Nichole at 10. The background of that photo is dark and the white pops because of it.
This drawing is made of pastel. I sketched it in pencil then colored it in with the chalk pastels and blended it out with a cotton swab to make the color less harsh and softer. I'm using this as my essential question piece
This is a piece for the intercultural festival that I made with colored pencils. First I drew the figures then shaded them in. There is a Mexican woman, a hawaiian woman, a Japanese woman, and an African woman. Ms O'Neill helped me enter the piece and it won third place
