This piece I am using for a teens inspired art work, I am going to do something with the background to make it more interesting. I sketched it out with a pencil then shaded it in with charcoal and added details to make it better. I was inspired by Nichole at 10 in the North Carolina art museums exhibit on their website. I like the black and white tones because I like to use charcoal and darker colors because it makes it look like an old photograph. I think I would leave the background either shaded and blended with the correct tool or leave it white. Shading the corners would make it look more like a crumpled aged photo with a vintage style feel like in Nichole at 10. The background of that photo is dark and the white pops because of it.
